The Buenos Aires provincial police seized nearly 300 pages of clinical history and laboratory studies, along with more than 500 emails related to the treatment of Diego Armando Maradona at the Olivos Clinic, in the context of the investigation into his death.

During the raid, conducted as part of the trial for his death, 279 medical documents, six laboratory studies, and 547 emails exchanged between the involved doctors were confiscated. The former footballer was hospitalized at the Olivos Clinic from November 3 to 11, 2020, where he underwent surgery for a subdural hematoma in his head.

Maradona's death occurred two weeks after leaving the clinic, on November 25, while he continued his recovery at home. During the raid, the doctor in charge of the clinic, the manager, and the legal representative of the owning company were interviewed.

The search warrant was issued by the Oral Criminal Court No. 3 of San Isidro, at the request of the deputy attorney general, due to elements deemed relevant for the investigation. The procedure was carried out following the presentation of clinical analyses by a witness that were not in the file.

Seven health workers are charged with simple homicide with eventual intent in the case of Maradona's death, and the presiding judges will have to determine their guilt. In addition, a confrontation between two doctors and the inclusion of new witnesses in the process was authorized.
